WHO WE ARE
The Opportunity Ecosystem for African Young People
YouthXcel Africa is a youth-centered organization working to expand access to the opportunities, skills pathways, career guidance, and platforms that help young people realize their potential, build economic independence, and contribute meaningfully to their communities and society. Our work is driven by the belief that the distance between what young people are capable of and what they can access is not inevitable. It reflects gaps in the systems around them, and those gaps can be closed through the right investment, support, and opportunities. We work alongside young people and communities across Nigeria while building for a future that reaches across the wider African continent, focusing especially on underserved and marginalized communities where access to meaningful economic opportunity remains most limited. Too often, the systems meant to support young people, including education, career guidance, labour markets, and skills development, fall short for those who need them most. Through our platforms, partnerships, and programs, we work to make opportunity more accessible, more visible, and easier to navigate, so that more young people can thrive.

Our Youth Advisory Board brings the perspectives of young people directly into how the organization thinks, designs, and evolves. Their experience is foundational, not supplementary.
